Invite Skilled Guests to Present with Stockade Modules
This short report from a Unit Advocate to CSB 8014 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin shows what can be done through the Stockade modules. It’s great to see how Guests are invited to bring their special skills.
“Bill says that his Brigade unit is going well. He still has six boys and dads. They just finished First Aid and they all enjoyed it. They talked about First Aid kits the first week. Then they had a doctor come in and talk about bandaging wounds and burns. Then they had a paramedic come in and teach CPR. Then another doctor to teach about slings and splints. They start dogs on Monday and have a vet scheduled the first week. Then they have a Service Dog trainer coming in with Service Dogs, then a trip to the Vet Clinic and then another dog trainer to close out the module. Bill is excited to have all the folks share their passion for dogs and for God. Then their last module for this year is Fishing. Bill is hoping to get the writer of the Fishing module to come and share with the group. Maybe a fishing overnight the beginning of June. He is also promoting Camp Nathanael’s father/son the end of June.” David Lhotka, Unit Advocate with CSB 8014.

Update on CSB 8014, Eau Claire, WI. Stockade is in the last four weeks doing Cars and Trucks. Last week they crawled around in my PT Cruiser while we told them about engines and the various car parts. Tonight, they will be hearing from a local small business Christian mechanic who can REALLY tell them about cars. Next week, we are going to a Muscle Car Restoration business for a tour. And I am working on getting a semi truck down for the last week (or maybe a fire truck?). – Bill Mellien, Chief Ranger
