Mountain Biking Mission Guide

The Mountain Biking Mission prepares young men for the adventure of off-road riding while teaching dedication, responsibility, and Christlike character.


Practical Purpose: Equip young men with foundational mountain biking skills, safety awareness, and responsible outdoor practices.


Boys Will Learn:

 

  • Basic bike handling skills, trail etiquette, and safety principles for riding on varied terrain.

  • How to perform simple bike checks, repairs, and maintenance to keep equipment reliable.

  • The importance of responsibility and dedication both on the trail and in daily life.

Projects:

 

  • Practicing balance, steering, braking, and small-space maneuvers using simple drills and tennis-ball exercises.

  • Learning basic bike maintenance, including tire checks, chain care, and simple repairs.

  • Participating in guided trail rides that reinforce technique, safety, and teamwork.

Spiritual Goals:

 

  • Understand dedication as faithfully committing to growth, practice, and godly character.

  • Learn responsibility through caring for equipment, respecting others on the trail, and following wise instruction.

  • Apply 1 Timothy 4:12 by becoming an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity—on and off the bike.
