Started in Stockade when I was 10. Graduated to Battalion and completed my Herald of Christ in 1967 at Queensway Baptist Church (Unit # 599) in Toronto, Ontario. Went on to be a leader at several Stockade and Battalion Units as Ranger, Lieutenant, and Captain. Completed all the Leadership badges and taught a number of leadership courses. Member of several Area Committees depending where I lived. Also spent many summers at Camp Kakeka – Brigade camp in Haliburton, Ontario – also sat on the Board of Camp Kakeka. Married a Pioneer Girl and we had 3 daughters. My wife had spent many summers at Camp Cherith. I became involved with Cherith on the Board and eventually became Board Chair. In 1995 I resigned from the Board and took the full time position of Executive Director of Camp Cherith – Ontario. After 25 years of ministry at Camp Cherith I retired and one of our daughters is now carrying the ministry on. I still am involved but on a reduced and volunteer level.
