Adventure Trails – What Flavor Are You?
Some people do not realize that there are two different tracks for Adventure Trails. There is the Quest Series and Adventure Trails Classic (also known as Adventure Trails: A Christ Centered Guide for the Active Young Man).
Which version do you use and why?

When I was leading a battalion only a few years ago, there was only the one option (which the quest update is based on). Personally, I found the greatest hurdle with getting that one off the ground was the look and feel of the book was dated, and the early requirement of getting a mentor was crippling. It would seem that the quest update addressed both of these things, but I haven’t gotten a chance to use it hands on.

While we ultimately let guys choose which book to go to, our Battalion promotes the “Classic” version.
I feel that book is more well-rounded as well as more appealing to teen boys. I feel it is stronger in leadership training than Quest and also focuses more on individual discipline.
