The First Aid Mission Guide equips young men in your Battalion with the knowledge and skills to provide immediate medical care in emergencies. Through hands-on learning and biblical teaching, they will not only gain essential first aid expertise but also grow in compassion for those in need, living out the principle of caring for “the least of these” as taught by Jesus in Matthew 25:40.
Over the course of five meetings, your young men will learn vital first aid practices, including CPR, fracture care, and treatment for burns, hypothermia, and bleeding. Each lesson ties back to Scripture, encouraging them to put their faith into action by helping those in need.
- Meeting 1: Introduces first aid basics like CPR and scene surveillance while emphasizing the biblical concept of caring for the vulnerable.
- Meeting 2: Focuses on treating fractures and sprains, with a reminder to show kindness and support.
- Meeting 3: Covers administering aid to individuals who are bleeding, in shock, or choking, grounded in compassion for the afflicted.
- Meeting 4: Teaches how to treat burns and frostbite, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and love for others.
- Meeting 5: Concludes with a First Aid Competition, where young men practice their skills in realistic emergency scenarios.
By the end of this mission, your Battalion will not only be equipped to respond in emergencies but will have grown in faith and brotherhood, understanding the deep compassion we are called to have for others.
