The Simple Machines Module helps dads and boys discover that God designed each of us with purpose—so we can serve Him and serve others with joy.
Practical Purpose: Equip dads and boys to grow together through hands-on simple machine projects that build confidence and point them to God’s purpose for serving others.
Young Men Will Learn:
- How levers, pulleys, inclined planes, and wheels/rollers work in real life.
- That God created them with purpose and gifts to serve Him and others.
- How encouragement, teamwork, and God’s Word help us live a life of service.
Experiences Include:
- Building and using a marshmallow catapult and learning lever classes.
- Creating simple pulleys (gantry crane + homemade pulley) to lift and move loads.
- Designing ramps and testing friction/effort with creative “ramping it up” challenges.
- Exploring wheels/rollers through bicycle mechanics and a team roller race.
Spiritual Goals:
- Boys understand they are God’s workmanship—made for good works (Eph. 2:10).
- Boys learn Scripture is God’s “operator’s manual” for life and service (2 Tim. 3:16).
- Boys recognize gifts differ, but God empowers all for His purposes (1 Cor. 12:4–6).
- Boys practice stirring one another up to love and good works (Heb. 10:24).
