The Siege Weapons Module teaches boys about God as our fortress while they build a working catapult and learn how to comfort others through Christ.
Practical Purpose: Equip boys to understand God’s protection and compassion while learning hands-on skills through building a functioning catapult.
Boys Will Learn:
How catapults worked in medieval times and how to build a small working model of their own.
That God is our refuge when life feels like a siege and the enemy’s arrows feel overwhelming.
How Christ suffered for us and how the Holy Spirit comforts us in our troubles.
Projects:
Building a working catapult using simple materials to launch bean bags, tennis balls, or water balloons.
Experimenting with adjustments, angles, and force to see how far their projectiles travel.
Practicing teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving as they test and improve their designs.
Spiritual Goals:
Understand that Jesus is our fortress—our safe place in times of struggle and suffering.
Learn to receive God’s comfort and then extend that same comfort to others.
Grow in compassion by practicing practical ways to help brothers and sisters who are hurting.
