Rocketry Mission Guide

The Rocketry Mission helps young men discover God’s orderly design through building and launching model rockets while learning the value of honor, integrity, and perseverance.

Practical Purpose: Equip young men to understand and practice honor as they explore the science, construction, and flight of model rockets.

Boys Will Learn:

  • The fundamentals of rocket design, aerodynamics, stability, and safe launch procedures.

  • How God’s creation reflects order, precision, and purpose, revealed through science and the study of His universe.

  • The meaning of honor as demonstrated through Scripture and the example of Christian scientists, astronauts, and engineers.

Projects:

  • Building a model rocket, including fins, nose cones, engine mounts, and proper center-of-gravity placement.

  • Preparing a rocket for flight by completing construction, installing engines, and practicing safe launch procedures.

  • Decorating and finalizing rockets, conducting preflight checks, and participating in a supervised launch day.

Spiritual Goals:

  • Understand honor as living truthfully before God, aligning actions with words, and reflecting Christlike character.

  • Recognize God’s power and creativity through the study of His universe and the laws that govern it.

  • Develop perseverance and patience by working through the challenges of design, construction, and launching a rocket.
