Astronomy

The Astronomy Mission Guide introduces young men to basic astronomy while inspiring awe for God’s creation.

Practical Purpose: Equip young men with astronomy skills while fostering a deeper understanding of God’s design and purpose in creation.

Boys Will Learn:

  • How to use a telescope and star-viewing apps to explore the night sky.
  • The structure and importance of constellations and how to identify them.
  • The layout of the solar system and the significance of its celestial bodies.

Projects:

Canoeing

The Canoeing Expedition Guide equips young men with essential canoeing skills and teaches the importance of teamwork and following God’s lead.

First Aid

The First Aid Mission Guide equips young men with vital first aid skills and a compassionate heart, teaching them to care for “the least of these” as Jesus instructed.

Knot Tying

The Knot Tying Mission Guide teaches young men the basics of knot-tying while developing their steadfastness in faith and life.

Marksmanship 1

The Marksmanship I Mission trains young men to handle firearms responsibly while teaching the importance of obedience to God’s commands.

Practical Purpose:

Equip young men with the skills to safely handle, store, and shoot firearms with accuracy and care.


Boys Will Learn:

  • Firearm safety rules and proper handling procedures.
  • How to load, unload, and shoot rifles and shotguns.
  • Basic shooting positions and natural point of aim.

Projects:

  • Firearm cleaning and maintenance.
  • Learning about different types of rifles, shotguns, and their actions.

Photography

The Photography Mission Guide teaches young men the art of photography while helping them reflect Christ’s character. They will learn how to compose images that tell a story while understanding how to live a life that mirrors His image.

Practical Purpose: Master photography techniques while learning how to reflect Christ in everyday life.


Boys Will Learn:

  • Techniques for using light, composition, and framing to enhance their photos.

Search and Rescue

The Search & Rescue Mission challenges young men to appreciate the courage it takes to rescue the lost while growing their faith in God’s rescue mission for humanity.
Practical Purpose: Develop hands-on skills in navigation, first aid, and rescue through engaging, real-world scenarios.

Boys Will Learn:

  • How to read topographical maps and use compasses and GPS for navigation.
  • First aid techniques, including packaging and helicopter evacuation scenarios.

Small Engines

The Small Engines Mission Guide teaches young men how the components of a small engine work together while fostering spiritual unity and Christian brotherhood.

  • How to disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble small engines.
  • The role of spark plugs, carburetors, and ignition systems in engine operation.

Treasure Hunting

The Treasure Hunting Mission Guide introduces young men to treasure hunting basics while practicing self-discipline.

Wilderness Survival

The Wilderness Survival Mission Guide equips young men with vital survival skills and deepens their understanding of seeking God and valuing fellowship with fellow believers.

Practical Purpose: Master wilderness survival skills while learning the importance of trust in God and Christian fellowship.
