Outdoor Discovery Leaders Guide

The Outdoor Discovery Module helps boys explore God’s creation firsthand while learning what it means to be faithful stewards of the world He entrusted to us.

 

Practical Purpose: Equip boys to appreciate the outdoors, understand basic environmental awareness, and learn practical ways to care for God’s creation.

 

Boys Will Learn:

 

  • How spending time outside builds appreciation for the beauty, design, and variety of God’s creation.

  • What stewardship means and why God calls us to care for the earth responsibly.

  • How simple outdoor observations can teach important lessons about nature, life, and faith.

Projects:

 

  • Participating in guided outdoor activities that help them explore plants, animals, weather, and natural features.

  • Practicing practical stewardship tasks such as picking up litter, identifying safe vs. unsafe areas, or respecting wildlife.

  • Completing Outpost Adventures Achievements that strengthen their environmental awareness and appreciation.

Spiritual Goals:

 

  • Understand that God made the earth intentionally and calls His people to nurture and protect it.

  • Learn how biblical stewardship applies to the natural world and everyday life.

  • Develop gratitude for creation and recognize the Creator behind everything they discover outdoors.
