| Brigade Bonafides | I began as a Stockade Ranger in 2013, unit 2014, which was my first exposure to Brigade, when my sone Matthew was in fourth grade. In 2015, when Matt aged out of Stockade, we started our Battalion, unit 8047. For the first year, it was just the two of us (which made game time very challenging!) but God has added to our group since then. I have continued to serve as Battalion Captain after Matt graduated, which I enjoy immensely. In November of 2024, I went on staff with CSB as the Field Representative for the North Central and Midwest Regions, serving in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri. |

| Your Brigade History | I first learned of CSBin 2013 when we were looking for an alternative for BSA. Bill Mellien and I started a Brigade unit in Eau Claire, WI that fall. Initially, we had Stockade. I was a Ranger. As my son got older, we started a Battalion in 2015 unit and I am the Captain. The first year, it was just the two of us. We now have 16 boys from 6th to 12th grade. My son, the lone 12th grader, will graduate in the spring of 2022. I plan to continue leading the unit after that. We have been so very thankful for Brigade. |
