I just added another incentive for receiving a reward. This year I added the whole chapter of Psalms 23 for the boys to learn at home. If they can tell us rangers the whole chapter by memorization, they will get to choose from our tubs which we call the CSB camp store. Every year I plan on choosing a chapter in the Bible for the boys to earn this extra incentive. When I was growing up in church, my dad was the teacher of an all boys, 4th through 6th grade Sunday School class. All of us boys would win a fishing lure for memorizing Psalms 23. I still have this old wooden lure displayed in my office. The men of my church love to purchase these items for the boys. They are already asking when they can purchase something for this new year. I let the boys know that the men of the church are encouraging them to grow in their faith. I want CSB to be bigger than just a Children’s Ministry but a part of the men of the church cheering the boys on to grow into Godly men.
