Finish Strong

Why a great new season next year starts with a great evaluation this year, and some tools to help make it easy.

As we approach the final month or two of our ministry season, it’s easy to focus solely on the finish line. However, the secret to a thriving ministry depends on how you evaluate where you’ve been so that you can launch with purpose in the fall.

To help our leaders, we’ve put together a helpful End of Year Ministry Evaluation guide.

Why Evaluate Now?

Constant evaluation is the lifeblood of a growing ministry. By taking the time to look back now, we can:

  • Measure Spiritual Impact: Assess how we’ve truly influenced the lives of the men and boys we serve.

  • Refine Program Details: Identify what worked and what didn’t so we can offer our best in the coming year.

  • Align with Our Mission: Ensure we are still meeting our key objectives, from building Christian mentors to strengthening relationships with the local church.

How to Use This Guide

We’ve designed a simple, three-part framework for your final leaders’ meeting:

  1. Look Back (45 mins): Celebrate the wins and honestly assess the challenges.

  2. Look Forward (45 mins): Use those insights to begin planning about next year.

  3. Fellowship (45 mins): Break bread together and strengthen your band of brothers.

Don’t let the season just “fade out.” We want to end well so we can start well.
