Special Needs Leaders Guide

The Special Needs Module helps boys understand perseverance by learning how individuals with disabilities face challenges with courage, determination, and trust in God.

Practical Purpose: Equip boys to recognize the value and dignity of people with special needs while learning how perseverance enables us to face difficult circumstances with God’s help.

Boys Will Learn:

  • That disabilities and special needs come in many forms, each requiring patience, strength, and support.

  • How perseverance means continuing forward—even when tasks are hard or discouraging.

  • That God calls us to depend on Him for every need and to show compassion to others.

Projects:

  • Participating in hands-on activities that build awareness of various challenges individuals may face.

  • Practicing ways to support, encourage, and include those with special needs in daily life.

  • Completing Outpost Adventures Achievements that strengthen empathy, patience, and understanding.

Spiritual Goals:

  • Understand that perseverance is a biblical virtue—continuing faithfully with God’s help during hardship.

  • Learn how special needs can remind us to rely on God’s strength, not just our own.

  • Develop a compassionate heart toward others, reflecting Christ’s love through serving and supporting them.
