The Paddlesports Module teaches boys how to paddle safely and skillfully while learning the Christlike humility that puts others first.
Practical Purpose: Equip boys to confidently paddle personal watercraft—such as canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards—while promoting teamwork, safety, and servant-hearted attitudes.
Boys Will Learn:
Basic paddling techniques, water safety, and how to maneuver a canoe or similar small boat.
How to work together in a boat, communicate clearly, and prioritize the needs of others on the water.
That humility begins with understanding who God is and responding by serving and honoring others.
Projects:
Practicing paddling strokes, balance, entry and exit techniques, and proper life-jacket use.
Working in pairs or teams to steer, stabilize, and navigate a canoe or other craft.
Completing Outpost Adventures activities that reinforce skill development and personal responsibility.
Spiritual Goals:
Understand humility as recognizing our dependence on God and choosing to put others first.
Learn that true humility leads to action—helping, serving, and encouraging those around us.
Apply humility during group paddling by listening, cooperating, and supporting one another.
